Spa Reservations Appointments may be made by phoning 252-756-8404 or, online booking requests are available. Spa services are subject to availability. Credit card number, pre-payment, or relinquishing gift certificate is required to guarantee appointments. A 50% deposit is required to schedule any appointment. Specific technicians may be requested when scheduling appointments.
Check-in Cancellation Policy Less than 24 hours cancellation notice will result in loss of prepaid 50% deposit for the service missed. Parties of two require 48 hours cancellation notice. Spa Amenities Spa amenities are available the same day you receive a minimum of $60 in facial, body treatment or massage services, and are 16 years or older. Separate locker rooms for men and women offer personal lockers - leave valuables at home as The Spa is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced items. Spa amenities include: spa robes and slippers, steam bath, sauna, showers, vanity, The Atrium and the quiet of The Tranquility Lounge. Ask about arrangements for use of one of the Private Cabanas.
Drop-in Steam and Sauna Those who wish to enjoy all of the Spa amenities, but not receiving qualifying services, may purchase a Day Pass for $25. Because of increased volume of spa guests on certain days, phone for a reservation.
Spa Attire Except for The Grotto where swimwear/pool-side attire is required, you may dress or undress to your comfort level under your spa robe. Appropriate draping will be used during all treatments. Proper dress required in all areas outside of locker rooms.
Spa Etiquette Each therapist is empowered to terminate any service due to their interpretation of inappropriate actions or suggestive behavior. Full charge of service will apply.
Privacy For the privacy of all spa guests cell phone use in designated areas only. No cell phones in locker rooms, common areas, The Grotto or treatment rooms. Special permission may be offered for photographing private parties in private party areas.
Home Use Take home your spa experience with home use spa and treatment products available in The Spa reception and Merle Norman Cosmetic retail areas. Also, ask for a free makeup instruction time from one of the trained and skilled makeup artists from Merle Norman.
Your Health Inform your spa appointment coordinator of any health issues. Pregnancy, high blood pressure, recent surgeries, heart disorders and other health conditions may require service adjustments. Insurance regulations allow massage only after week 12 of pregnancy.
Can we talk? Communication is of utmost importance for you to receive specifically customized treatments that will offer you the most beneficial results. Beyond "touch" preferences, you may choose to be talkative, or enjoy the serene calm during your treatments.
Should I shave? Male spa guests: If you're having a facial service, we suggest you shave several hours prior to arrival. Female spa guests: We suggest no leg shaving the day of a body treatment. Skin nicks may be irritated.
How young is too young? Spa guests who are less than 18 years may choose treatments from the adult menu, however a responsible adult must remain in the treatment room the entire time a minor is receiving any closed- door service. Adult prices will apply. Teens and older are invited to use the adult locker areas. A responsible adult must remain with minors for the entire spa visit. Minors are permitted ONLY if receiving a service. Out of respect for the guests coming to escape the chaos of their own homes, we ask you leave your children at home as not to disrupt the relaxation of other spa guests.
Spa Gift Certificates For the perfect gift of caring and nurturing, spa gift certificates may be purchased from
The Spa reception desk, the Merle Norman retail area, online or by phone. Gift certificates may be mailed (certified mail only), or left at The Spa for your gift receiver. Purchase instant online gift certificates online gift certificates. Gift certificates may be used for any spa treatment, retail purchase or applied to your in-house account. Refunds not available for Spa Gift Certificates or Merle Norman Gift Certificates. The Spa is not responsible for lost, stolen or any unauthorized gift certificate use. Paper copy of gift certificate MUST be relinquished for redemption, to avoid copy fee of $2 per gift certificate.
Who's doing my service? Each technician is licensed in specific area(s) of expertise. They have chosen their career path, in part, because of their compassionate nature to be caregivers. They are humbled to share their unique skills with you. Each therapist is empowered to terminate any service due to their interpretation of inappropriate actions or suggestive behavior. Full charge of service will apply.
Gratuities For your convenience, and with your approval, the customary 20% gratuity will be added to each service total. A 20% gratuity will be automatically added to groups of five or more.
Cancellation Policy Less than 24 hours cancellation notice will result in one half charge of service(s) missed. Parties of two require 48 hours cancellation notice. Prepaid Spa Parties result in loss of prepayment for last minute cancellation.
Special Pricing Opportunities By allowing The Spa the opportunity to contact you via email for special occasions, such as your birthday and anniversary, you will receive special pricing discounts on specific treatments. Discounts and or coupons may not be combined.
Repeated Cancellation Without Notice/No Show will cause your account to become flagged. Flagged accounts are subject to pre-payment for appointments scheduled. Flagged accounts must attend no less than six scheduled appointment visits with no missed appointment bookings for removal of flagged status. Accounts flagged more than once due to repeated failure to properly cancel or show to scheduled appointments may remain flagged for pre-payment to reserve appointments permanently. Failure to attend pre-paid appointment times will result in loss of pre-payment funds, as they will apply to the balance of appointment missed.
Third Party Reservations are subject to payment at the time of reservation. Should the guest you are scheduling on behalf of fail to show for reserved treatments, 50% of the reserved treatment price will be deducted from prepaid funds as a No Show fee. Late arrival of your guest will result in shortened treatment time and full pricing will apply. Should your reservation be cancelled with a proper notice to avoid penalty fees, prepaid funds shall remain on the house account of the intended recipient for future use without expiration. No refunds for prepaid services. This policy is only applicable to reservations when the paying party will not be present and/or also receiving treatments.
Pre-Pay for Special Event and Ticketed Eventsare non-refundable, but are transferable for same-day event.
